After more than three decades of relentless devotion to Death Metal, AVULSED is set to release their eighth studio album, Phoenix Cryptobiosis, on March 4th, 2025, through Xtreem Music. The album will be available in CD, 12” LP, cassette, and digital formats.
A first taste of the album will arrive on December 18th with the release of the advance single and video clip, which can be viewed on YouTube and heard on major digital platforms via this link, where fans can also pre-save the track on Spotify and Deezer.
Formed in 1991 by vocalist Dave Rotten, AVULSED has maintained an unbroken commitment to Death Metal for nearly 34 years. Despite undergoing significant lineup changes recently, Dave Rotten and drummer Santiago Arroyo "GoG" have brought new life to the band with the addition of guitarist Alejandro Lobo, bassist Alex Nihil, and guitarist Victor Dws. Together, this revitalized lineup has completed Phoenix Cryptobiosis and resumed an active live performance schedule.
The album comes 12 years after the band’s last release of original material, Ritual Zombi, and represents a step forward in AVULSED's sound and style. While some tracks were composed by former members, the majority of the material was crafted by the current lineup, injecting a fresh energy into the band’s signature intensity.
