Klaïton to release A Celebration Of Pain on Nov. 4th.

Founded in 2013 by guitarists Erwin Wesdorp and Stefan Verdoorn following the demise of Polluted Inheritance and Burial, KLAÏTON was born from a shared passion for uncompromising old-school DeathMetal.

While searching for a drummer, Ronald Camonier (former guitarist/vocalist of Polluted Inheritance) stepped behind the drum kit, laying the foundation for the band’s crushing sound.

Steven Vrieswijk (former bassist of Polluted Inheritance) completed the rhythm section, while the final missing piece was found in Belgian vocalist Gratien Versijpt, whose ferocious voice brought the band to life.

Since their formation, the seasoned musicians of KLAÏTON have earned a cult following in the underground Death Metal scene. Remarkably, despite not releasing a full-length album or demo for many years, the band built a loyal fanbase through their intense live performances, with shows consistently drawing dedicated crowds.

At the beginning of 2026, after 13 years of loyal service, bassist Steven Vrieswijk decided to focus on other musical projects. His place was taken by Jan Verdoorn (former bassist of Lycantrope and MindLink), bringing fresh energy while staying true to KLAÏTON’s relentless old-school Death Metal spirit.
