UK riff merchants, INSULT, will reveal their blistering debut album, Reside Infernus, on Friday 23rd May. The formidable quintet have also just unleashed the album’s namesake as a single and video.
Coming at you from Bristol, England, INSULT were originally formed in the mid-1980’s. Comprising of members from revered thrash metal band, ONSLAUGHT, INSULT were initially put together by drummer, Steve Grice, who joined up with former Onslaught bassist, Jase Stallard, and Onslaught roadie, Jase Howell, who takes care of vocals. The three piece then added talented guitarists Robbie Harris and Jonny Fifield, to finalise their imposing line-up.
Throughout the past few years, INSULT have been composing their debut album, Reside Infernus, which is a testimony to the band’s adept innovation, persistence, and relentless drive. The album includes eight stunning tracks that possess power, biting riffs, thumping drumming, and engulfing vocals. It’s an auditory album of such high quality, and its ready for fans of aggressive yet melodic metal. The towering five piece are serious about their art and its creation. The band remark: “In an era where music is increasingly shaped by the digital world, we decided to take a different path. Reside Infernus was produced without relying on the automated tools that many artists use today. Every riff, every lyric, every beat was crafted organically, driven by emotion, experience, and a deep connection to the art of making music. The result is something that speaks with authenticity—an album that breathes and roars rather than merely exists as a by-product of technology. We hope you enjoy it.”
The band’s following is on the rise and with live performances on the horizon, INSULT are simply unmissable.
