Instrumental, 2-piece, riff machine WALL (featuring members of Desert Storm) share 3rd single 'Cirrhosis' from debut album on APF Records!

WALL - An instrumental 2-piece heavy fucking riff machine, built brick by brick & riff by riff by twin brothers and Desert Storm members Ryan & Elliot Cole release their debut album, ‘Brick by Brick’ on 30th August (APF Records).

3rd single ‘Cirrhosis’ is another slab from a record that is overflowing with unashamed Iommi-worshipping, instrumental, sludge/doom metal. With the band taking inspiration from the first 6 Black Sabbath albums as well as being influenced by the undisputed kings of instrumental stoner rock - the much missed Karma To Burn. Drummer Elliot Cole comments on the band’s latest track,

"Cirrhosis, the latest single, is an interesting sounding track. Ryan tuned every string to G for this one. It's quite a sludgy, downtuned bluesy number, with some slide quitar in there too. Half way through the song, it changes quite massively and ends in a hypnotic droney riff, over a drum tom rhythm which gave us Melvins / Soundgarden & Nirvana vibes.

It was quite experimental and a bit different to the others on the album, but adds a nice flavour. As for the title, Ryan got diagnosed with 'Fatty liver disease' around the time we were looking for inspiration for the title. Luckily with a better lifestyle change (less sugar and more exercise mostly) it is reversible.. .however, when he was handed the leaflet from the doctors, the final stage if you don't make improvements is Cirrhosis, which is irreversible....Cirrhosis looks bad, and isn't just caused through excess alcohol consumption...anyway it sounded like a good title to a Wall song! It can be difficult finding good titles to songs as an instrumental band, you can see why Karma To Burn just numbered their's!
