Human was founded in 2010 by guitarist Edoardo Boccato to explore modern death metal's technical and conceptual aspects. Initially, Boccato worked alone, setting the stage for their debut album, Cerebral Inwardness, released in December 2015 with a newly formed band including guitarist Tommaso Pellegrini, bassist Nicola Donegà, and vocalist Lorenzo Belgrano. The lineup later changed with the addition of bassist Fabio Renda and vocalist Michele Sassano, leading to their second album, Contemplating Soliloquy, in January 2017.
In 2018, Human began work on their third album, Alizarin Refraction, recorded in Modena and released in May 2019, which received positive international recognition. Following this, there were more lineup changes, with bassist Zeno Zucchelli joining and both Pellegrini and Sassano leaving by 2022. By 2023, the band established a final lineup featuring Boccato, Zucchelli, Giovanni “Joshua” De Paola, and Francesco “Oxe” Sita, and recorded their fourth album in 2024.
In June 2025, Human signed with Distorted Productions for their upcoming album, set for release on November 20th, 2025, with two singles to be released beforehand. The band continues to innovate in death metal, merging complexity and introspection.
