Southwest Florida's extreme metal force, Hellfrost, returns with their most aggressive and politically charged song to date: "Manipulation Machine." Now Streaming Everywhere, the new single pulls no punches, targeting the relentless flood of misinformation, media control, and societal manipulation plaguing the modern world.
Combining the speed and fury of thrash metal, the dark intensity of black metal, and the crushing weight of death metal, "Manipulation Machine" showcases Hellfrost's signature sound while pushing their lyrical content into sharper, more rebellious territory. The track's searing riffs, breakneck drumming, and venomous vocals are a sonic battering ram aimed directly at the systems that exploit public trust.
"This song is about waking people up," says Dave Vainer, vocalist and guitarist for Hellfrost. "We’re constantly bombarded with lies and half-truths from every direction — politicians, corporations, the media. 'Manipulation Machine' is our way of fighting back, using music as a weapon."
When it comes to writing the music, we wanted to write a song with fast aggressive riffs and over the top drums says bassist Ryan Blackburn.
"Manipulation Machine" was recorded at No Metaphor Recordings in Punta Gorda, Fl with Engineer Mike Joseph, delivering a raw yet powerful production that captures the band’s live energy. The single is accompanied by a lyric video now available on YouTube, visually reinforcing the song’s themes of deception, control, and resistance.
Hellfrost has been a staple of Florida’s underground metal scene since 2010, known for their ferocious live shows and uncompromising message. With "Manipulation Machine," the band takes a bold step forward, calling on listeners to question authority and reclaim their autonomy.
"We’re not here to preach," adds Dave Vainer. "We’re here to challenge. If this song makes even one person stop and think, it’s done its job."
"Manipulation Machine" is available on all major streaming platforms.
