Nothing quite captures the imagination like tales of magic, myth and ancient folklore! With that in mind, we’re excited to share that HAND OF KALLIACH’s sophomore album, Corryvreckan, is out today!
The Edinburgh, Scotland based duo, comprised of husband and wife John and Sophie, play a unique amalgamation of melodic death metal and Gaelic folk that draws heavily from Scottish folklore - namely the legend of the Cailleach, an ancient witch god of winter from Celtic mythology. The resulting album is a phantasmagorical journey through ancient tales and truly progressive modern metal, with an unmatched eye for detail that brings every single element of Corryvreckan to life.
Accompanying the album release, the band has also shared a new music video for Cirein-cròin - which you can watch in full above.
