The single "Of clay and blood divine" is a continuation of the Sumerian-Akkadian cycle of songs of the band. The lyrical basis is the story of the creation of man "The Myth of Atrahasis". Unlike the orthodox-biblical version of the appearance of man on Earth, this work presents a completely different version of the creation of the first living creature on our planet. According to the text on the ancient tablets, the first man was created by the goddess Ninmah and the god of wisdom Enki from clay and blood. And the function of the resulting creature was to be a replacement for the hard work of secondary gods, the igigi. In other words, the ancient gods created slaves for themselves...
Musically, the track is a symbiosis of groove, death metal and thrash metal. Many ethnic elements are also traditionally used. But in this iteration they are in the background and perform the function of creating the atmosphere of the ancient world.
Nazar Betsel, vocalist of the metalcore/deathcore band "Nora Plan", joined in recording the vocal parts of the track.
A fragment of a cylinder seal was used as the basis for the cover.
