German Metalcore band DEFOCUS are set to release new album there is a place for me on earth on March 1 via Arising Empire. To celebrate, the band has shared a video for the track “crooked mind.”
With "crooked mind," DEFOCUS shoots straight into the listeners' brains. Once there, the song immediately unfolds its heaviness, guided by the mental chaos of the lyrics.
“When plagued by a crooked mind, people often feel as though they are not alone in their thoughts. Voices, speaking in unfamiliar ways, manipulate and distort their internal perception of self, creating a sense of disconnection and confusion.”
The band have also shared videos for the tracks “flatlines,” “let the bond be my grave,” and “biased.”
The album was produced by Vojta Pacesny (Aviana, Abbie Falls, etc.).
DEFOCUS spent time making music together before coming to light in early 2019, instantly proving their worth in the scene with their energetic live shows and their debut album In The Eye Of Death We Are All The Same released in 2021.
The band has been seen on stages with bands like Jinjer, Chelsea Grin, and Necrotted and at European festivals such as Euroblast, Heavy Days, and Summer Breeze Open Air.
Defocus are featured on official Spotify playlists The Core and All New Metal.
