Portuguese Progressive Metal band Freitanás released their debut album «Ergo Sum». The release was recorded, mixed and mastered by João Pedro Freitas in his home studio.
Formed in Castanheira de Pera, Portugal, Freitanás is the solo rock and metal project of "Aoidos" vocalist/guitarist João Pedro Freitas, named during a legendary gathering at "Taberna 58". The project reached a major milestone with the release of the debut album "Ergo Sum". Culminating older unreleased tracks and brand-new material, the album bridges the guitar-driven metal of Zakk Wylde and Nevermore with the sonic spirit of Ornatos Violeta and Devin Townsend. Conceptually, the music serves as a visceral attempt to navigate the storm of adulthood, translating the heavy burdens of independence and isolation into cathartic art.
