FORTUNE TELLER return today with “Familiar”, a powerful melodic metal track about breaking free from a bond that has become a prison and choosing freedom over the comfort of what is known. Inspired by the image of a witch’s familiar - a bound creature forced into servitude - the song follows a similar figure finally breaking away, rejecting its chains and making a desperate attempt to rebuild what was once there.
Blending the epic weight of traditional power metal with modern melodic sensibilities, Fortune Teller deliver a track driven by soaring vocals, powerful riffs and an unmistakable sense of drama. Fronted by Theresa Smith (Metaprism), the band features seasoned musicians from the UK metal scene, including Ian Rockett (Shattered Skies), Grammy-nominated producer and keyboardist Meyrick De La Fuente (Exist Immortal, Vexed), guitarist Joe Jaycock (Mysticist), bassist David Billote (Exist Immortal) and drummer Tim Coulson (Godeater).
