FORTRESS FESTIVAL unveils poster as tickets near sell out!

Scarborough, UK; 15 September 2025: Fortress Festival has has revealed the official poster for its 2026 edition, designed by renowned French artistic duo Førtifem. The festival, which takes place on May 30-31, 2026, at Scarborough Spa, is on track to sell out well in advance, with only around 25% of tickets remaining.

The poster reveal comes as the majority of the line-up has been confirmed, with more bands and information to be announced in the coming months. The line-up has been curated to bring a host of rare, exclusive and debut performances.

The news follows the announcement of A Forest of Stars, who will perform a special return show; Ossaert, with a worldwide exclusive performance; as well as Totenwache and Darkenhöld, who will be making their UK debuts.

Headlining the festival will be Old Man's Child on the Saturday, with Gallowbraid set to close the festival on Sunday in their worldwide live debut. Other bands announced for Fortress Festival include Dødheimsgard, who will perform their album “Black Medium Current” in its entirety, Akercocke with a worldwide exclusive full album performance of their acclaimed 2003 release, “Choronzon”, Norwegian black metal duo Whoredom Rife, who will headline the Ocean Room stage, and Abigail Williams, returning to the UK for the first time in eight years. The lineup also features exclusive UK sets from Groza, Mesarthim, Midnight Odyssey, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult (Ocean Room headliner), This Gift Is A Curse and Misþyrming, as well as debuts from Old Sorcery and Antrisch. Dungeon synth pioneer Mortiis is also confirmed to headline the dungeon synth stage, while Aeon Winds will play a worldwide exclusive set.
