The international avant-garde and progressive death metal band Fleshvessel will make their highly anticipated live debut at ProgStorm Festival 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at Le Ministère in Montreal. Known for their genre-defying compositions, Fleshvessel crafts a chaotic and captivating soundscape by fusing extreme metal with jazz, classical, folk, and symphonic progressive elements.
Fleshvessel joins previously confirmed bands Into Eternity, The Reticent, and The Aphelion.
With members based in the U.S., Thailand, and Canada, Fleshvessel has built a cult reputation through their acclaimed studio work. Their debut album, Yearning: Promethean Fates Sealed (I, Voidhanger Records), earned high praise from Angry Metal Guy, Metal Injection, and Metal Storm, drawing comparisons to Ne Obliviscaris, Thy Catafalque, and Ved Buens Ende for their daring, multi-instrumental compositions.
Described as blending the avant-garde intensity of Kayo Dot with Aquilus’s cinematic scope, their music is a whirlwind of intricate arrangements, weaving flute, viola, and clarinet solos into blistering death metal sections. Fans can expect an unpredictable live show that embodies the band’s fearless experimentation and genre-blurring style.
