Formed in 2019, FOREIGNWOLF have been steadily building momentum with their huge riffs, honest lyrics, and powerful vocal delivery. Based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the band’s sound pulls from influences like Alexisonfire, Alter Bridge, and Deftones, blending true substance and melody into something that feels both heavy and deeply personal.
The four-piece, which features: Gerard McCann (vocals, guitar), Dave Brady (lead guitar, backing vocals), Conor Forbes (bass, backing vocals), and Max Couhig (drums), are a close-knit group brought together by a shared love of rock and metal. Since forming, they’ve played shows across the UK and picked up support from BBC Radio One, BBC Ulster, Total Rock, Hard Rock Hell, and Sirius XM.
Their breath-taking new EP, Merely Mortal, marks a huge step forward for the band. It’s loaded with heavy riffs, strong hooks, and songs that hit hard without losing their emotional core. Speaking about the record, the band say: “This EP is about the parts of being human we don’t always talk about. It looks at self-doubt, fear, emotional dependency, and the connections we struggle to let go of. We wanted to capture what it feels like to be trying to grow while still feeling fragile and imperfect.”
With new music, videos, and live shows on the way, FOREIGNWOLF are gearing up for a massive period ahead. Merely Mortal is just the beginning for the band.
