I feel like there are constant reminders of human rights violations and the impending doom of the planet and then a 'brush it off and just go to work' mentality,” questions Rick Jimenez. “It's difficult to break that cycle but understanding it and raging out against it is my first step. Living life with a PEOPLE OVER PROFIT mentality is an act of defiance unto itself today.
‘Insomnia’ is a very enjoyable song to put together musically. The majority of it is variations on one riff throughout with little nuances or key changes separating it from part to part. I was also able to use the first guitar I ever owned on the interlude section; a scaled down nylon string acoustic Franciscan guitar that I got in the spring of 1992."
