Finnish cosmic black metal band Eternal Remnants has released its new
single, From the Void. The song continues the band’s dark, otherworldly
trajectory, combining the raw energy of black metal with cosmic horror,
monumental atmosphere, and existential darkness.
From the Void explores the fragility of narcissism, false superiority,
and the collapse that inevitably follows. In the lyrics, a narcissistic,
self-crowned figure builds a false kingdom in which attention, control,
and the need for worship take the place of genuine strength.
The song’s central cry — No gods, no crown — distills the theme to its
essence: no artificially constructed god-image, fragile position of
power, or crown sustained through manipulation can ultimately withstand
truth and the void.
The accompanying music video transports the song’s themes into a
striking science-fiction world. Visually ambitious and cinematic in
scope, the video unfolds across dark futuristic landscapes and on a
cosmic scale. Its 3D environments were rendered using Unreal Engine 5,
giving the production a vast, modern, and cinematic visual identity.
Eternal Remnants combines the aggression of black metal with a cold
cosmic aesthetic and the idea of humanity’s insignificance within an
infinite universe. From the Void pushes this vision further as a larger,
more direct, and more visually imposing release.
