The release of last year’s “MMXX”-EP was no less than a milestone in the career of ESKIMO CALLBOY. Not only was it the first release with their new singer Nico Sallach, that brought back their trademark lighthearted energy, but the song “Hypa Hypa” marked the biggest success of the band so far.
Upon its release “Hypa Hypa” simply exploded: it went straight to #2 of the YouTube Trends and has already gained 21 million audio streams as well as 11 million clicks on YouTube by now. Encouraged by the stellar feedback ESKIMO CALLBOY are making “MMXX” available as special “Hypa Hypa Edition” on May 21st, 2021.
Nico comments: “After we posted some funny alternative “Hypa Hypa“-versions on TikTok there were so many people who wanted a full version of it or suggested to record it in different genres... so we did it! Working with everybody was so much fun… thank you!”
The new edition includes the original songs of the EP, but it also comes with seven alternative versions of “Hypa Hypa” by diverse featured artists like the rock country legends The BossHoss, German popstar Sasha, the rap crew 257ers, medieval metal heros Saltatio Mortis, YouTuber Axel One, metalcore institution We Butter The Bread With Butter and a Remix by DJ-duo Gestört aber GeiL.
