EQUISETUM unveil "Cor Ex Putredine" cover artwork!

It is absolutely amazing.

We are talking about the cover art, which we are unveiling today, for "Cor Ex Putredine"—the debut album from EQUISETUM set for release via My Kingdom Music on September 25th—created by Mortifero, who gave life this project of dark, alienating Doom Metal together with Noctuaria.

The two artists—already members of underground acts such as Nebrus, Ignis Absconditus, Flusso Delirante Persecutorio, and Nott—have also revealed the tracklist too, which is as follows:

"Cor Ex Putredine" is rooted in the Italian dark sound, with a reference to Alkaest by Paul Chain, while expanding into multiple Doom trajectories: from the heavier and alienating reminiscences of CELTIC FROST, to the more irregular and dissonant approach of UNHOLY, up to the slow, gothic atmospheres of TYPE O NEGATIVE. Subtle Black Metal influences emerge, particularly in the construction of rhythmic textures, drawing from the essence of THORNS.

The lyrics, sung in a ritualistic and visionary way by the talented and original Noctuaria's voice, explores themes of decay and loss to reach the conclusion that Death is not an event... Death is a process.
