DUTCH PROGRESSIVE GIANTS TEXTURES SHARE NEW SINGLE 'VANISHING TWIN'

Ahead of the release of their highly anticipated new album Genotype (January 23rd, Kscope), Textures have shared their new single ‘Vanishing Twin’ today. Inspired by personal experience of the band members, it explores the rarely discussed “Vanishing Twin Syndrome” –

“I have two relatives who struggle with the so-called Lost or Vanishing Twin syndrome. This happens when two foetuses emerge in the womb, but one of them is absorbed by the woman’s body or the other twin. The remaining child that is being born will often deal with the traumatic feeling of having lost a brother/sister and this can shape their life in a significant way.” - Stef

When TEXTURES announced their disbandment in 2018, it marked the end of an era for progressive metal. Their absence was felt across the world - by fans, by peers, and by a scene they helped define. Now, six years later, the Dutch innovators return with Genotype - a monumental resurgence to the forefront of modern progressive music and a powerful reaffirmation of everything that made them a force in the first place.
