Dutch epic black metal band Saille will release their sixth full-length album Forebode on February 13, 2026 via Non Serviam Records, available on CD and digital. It is the band’s first album in five years and follows a period of re-focusing on the atmosphere and visual identity that defined their earlier era.
Formed in 2009 and originally founded in Belgium, Saille are now a fully Netherlands-based line-up. Their sound is built around epic black metal sharpened with symphonic arrangements and a long-running interest in unusual instrumentation. Across previous records they have expanded the palette with trumpet, theremin, synthesizers, piano and pianola, adding colour without softening the edge. The band’s writing has remained concept-driven, leaning into themes of “the fearful, the uncanny and the weird”, alongside a strong live reputation on festival stages across Europe.
With Forebode, Saille deliberately steer back towards the feel of their first three albums, while keeping a modern production standard. The core of the release includes four new tracks, a newly re-recorded version of the live favourite “Haunter of The Dark 2025”, and an extended classical version of “Eater of Worlds” with additional instruments. The physical edition adds three bonus tracks: live recordings featuring a violinist, captured at Metal Méan Festival and Graspop Metal Meeting. The digital version will be released without those final three live tracks.
The album was mixed by guitarist Reinier Schenk and mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll at Kvalsonic Lab in Norway. Artwork and layout were created by Tamara Llenas of Aimed & Framed (Spain), echoing the visual style of the band’s first four albums. Llenas is also handling the forthcoming videos tied to the release.
