DREAMS OF GRAY Release Lyric Video For "Across The Endless Sea", EP Out Today!

Chicago’s melodic extreme metal force DREAMS OF GRAY has unveiled the lyric video for “Across the Endless Sea”, one of the most dynamic and ambitious songs from their new EP A Beginning, released today and available HERE.

“Across the Endless Sea” surges with blistering speed while retaining the melodic depth that defines DREAMS OF GRAY. The track features multiple vocal styles, soaring choruses born from fresh approaches to melody, and even subtle elements of black metal guitar reimagined in service of the band’s vision. The result is a powerful, emotionally charged song that explores the interconnectedness of life and how each of us is part of a greater journey, linked to both the living and those who came before.

A Beginning marks a new chapter for DREAMS OF GRAY. Originally conceived as Rivera’s solo project following a long hiatus from music, the Chicago-based physician and former member of ABOLISHER returns with renewed intensity. Now a practicing Family Medicine doctor, Rivera channels the same commitment to healing into his art, crafting music that resonates with themes of grief, resilience, and existential reflection.

On A Beginning, Rivera is joined by an impressive lineup of collaborators: Maria Kosma (bass), Nicole Trinchero (drums on the title track), and Scott Elliot, who provided drum programming, engineering, mixing, and mastering for “Across the Endless Sea” and “Beyond the Sky.” Josh Middleton also contributed engineering and mastering on the opening track “A Beginning.”
