Brooklyn heavy metalers DAS MOÖSE have released a new single, "Traction Park Massacre (Don't Cry For Me)," from their upcoming debut, full-length album, Moösehenge, that's out October 16th.

The punk-inspired rock song is also featured prominently in the forthcoming blood-soaked, slasher film of the same name, "Traction Park Massacre." Presented by Terror Twins, LLC, directed by DAS MOÖSE vocalist/guitarist Adam Dubin (Murder at the Front Row, A Year And A Half In The Life Of Metallica) and Douglas Dimonda, and staring Kai Thomas Schulz, Bodhi Schulz (American Horror Story) and Helen Henry (Haunted Mansion) with a soundtrack chock-full of classic metal, and a bold 80’s inspired score from Alex Skolnick of Testament, the film intertwines the terrifying fictional narrative with the unbelievable true story of the infamous Action Park in New Jersey.

Commenting on the new single, Dubin says:

“I always loved when Ramones songs appeared in movies. Whether it was 'Rock And Roll High School' or 'Pet Sematary,' a song by The Ramones gave the added burst of energy that helped power along any scene. 'Traction Park Massacre' has a storyline that is reminiscent of a punk rock song. Young People meet Outlaw Bikers meet Twin Psycho-Killers. What else could that be but a punk song? So my band Das Moöse came up with a high octane rocker called “Traction Park Massacre (Don’t Cry For Me).” It’s as if The Ramones had done a song for one of the classic slasher films of the 1980’s. The first verse talks about going to Traction Park and getting hurt there. The second verse name checks various characters from the movie. We wrote the song and performed it once live after I filmed the movie. The crowd loved it. A few days later the band went in and recorded the song in one day. Later, guitar maestro Alex Skolnick added the keyboard part. “Traction Park Massacre (Don’t Cry For Me)” is a perfect blend of 60’s pop and 70’s punk about an 80’s style slasher film. Both the movie and the song are DIY. That’s about as punk rock as it gets!”

Today, Terror Twins, LLC has announced their New York Comic Con panel for "Traction Park Massacre" that will take place at the Javits Center on October 17 at 6:30pm, Rm. 408. The panel will be moderated by Michael Gingold (Fangoria) with comedian Chris Gethard joined by directors Dubin and Dimonda and cast members to discuss how reality inspired fiction, and the park’s dangerous history that earned it the moniker “Class Action Park.“
