Dark Power Metallers SILVER TALON Drop Special ‘Bloodflow’ EP Today!

Portland-based dark power metal group SILVER TALON has released a special 2-song exclusive EP. ‘Bloodflow,’ available for streaming or download at all digital platforms, including HERE.

“Since we’re busy working on our follow-up to ‘Decadence And Decay,’ we figured injecting at least a little blood-flow into our discography would help tide folks over until that’s ready,” explains guitarist Bryce VanHoosen. “Here’s our tribute to two bands that get us consistently pumped and have inspired us to do what we do today – Cro-Mags and Alice in Chains. We really enjoyed recording these, and hope that you enjoy listening to them as well.”

SILVER TALON recently completed a west coast tour supporting neoclassical death thrashers Exmortus and the next generation of Bay Area Thrash Hatriot, as well as several fest appearances such as Vancouver’s Hyperspace and Chicago’s Legions of Metal Fest. Next on the list SILVER TALON will perform as part of Tijuana’s Dragon Rojo Metalfest in mid-November alongside Dying Fetus, Hirax, Blood Feast, Riot V, Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, and labelmates Cemican.

“Decadence and Decay” - released in May 2021 - was the long-awaited follow-up to SILVER TALON's acclaimed 2018 debut EP, “Becoming A Demon.” The full-length album is a masterful display of the thrilling combination of heavy metal hooks and guitar-driven virtuosity that has powered the band since their formation in 2017. Music videos for the album's blistering lead-off track, Deceiver, I Am (in which Decibel says the band "sound(s) absolutely immortal"), "As The World Burn" (which Metal Injection says showcases "everything that makes their triple guitar attack so killer in the first place"), "Kill All Kings" (hailed by MetalSucks as "at once hard-hitting and melodic, melancholy and uplifting"), and "Divine Fury".

The album – which features striking cover artwork from noted fantasy artist Gerald Brom (Doom, Diablo, Magic: The Gathering, World of Warcraft) – also features a guest appearance by guitarist Andy La Rocque (King Diamond, Death) on the song “Resistance 2029.” Digital and CD copies of the band's full-length debut album, “Decadence and Decay,” are available HERE.
