Message From the Band:
A Brother of ours once said that when Damonacy shows up somewhere, something crazy was bound to happen! The phrase he used was, “We’re here to Drink, Fuck and Fight!
From showing up at a Promoter’s house to force them to pay up, to chasing a stolen vehicle thru the streets of Newark (then catching and throwing the perp in the trunk), to having a Record Label tell us while loving our music, we are too unstable when off the stage to take the risk of signing us and sending us on tour, to pissing off the side of Niagara Falls in front of all the Tourists, Damonacy did what we wanted, when we wanted!
While this ultimately caused our demise, it made stories that 30 years later that are still talked about!
There was so much controversy on why we had 2 bass players. The haters always said it was to be different and unique. While Damonacy was unique, this was not the reason. Our main bass player was always in trouble and going in and out of various institutions. He was actually arrested and taken away while we were playing on stage one time! You cannot make this shit up! In order to keep playing shows, we had one of our Brothers, who played guitar, learn the songs on bass (2nd bass player always played with a pick and with distortion), and it allowed us to keep playing shows. When our original bass played was released, the 2 bass player thing just clicked and we kept it going. This is the true story and also adds to the Legend that is Damonacy.
Demonic Slam was coined to describe not just our music but also the aggression our Brothers created in the Most Pits. Somehow the more aggressive Metal Heads from the surrounding towns gravitated towards us and became part of Our Pack. While chaos may have occurred at another Band’s show, members of Our Pack were always involved. The stories of destruction caused by us at Damonacy and other Band’s shows are still talked about till this day!
