CRYPTIC PROCESS - New EP “GULPS” out Dec 5!

CRYPTIC PROCESS is a French Brutal Death Metal duo, featuring Ugo (guitars + prog) and Dam (vocals).

After playing together in several bands – HERESY and later GORYPTIC – both musicians went on toexplore the world of Grindcore for a few years (Ugo with Trepan’Dead, Dam with Unsu). Despite this detour, the desire to dive back into intense, uncompromising Brutal Death Metal never left them. In 2020, they reunited, and CRYPTIC PROCESS was born. The duo began working in the shadows on their first album — a technical, visceral, and organic piece of work drawing influences from Goratory, Necrophagist, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, and Infant Annihilator.

In June 2023, they unveiled their first promo track, “Awakening Before This”, setting the tone for what was to come. The recording of their debut album, “Human Snack”, followed in August 2023. Soon after, several labels showed interest, and the record was released on December 15, 2023, both as a Digipack CD and on all streaming platforms, in collaboration with Crypt of Dr. Gore Records and Drowning in Chaos Records.

Since then, the band has brought its music to the stage, sharing bills with acts such as Inhumate, Sunless, Breakhead, Anachronism, and many more.

Building on that momentum, CRYPTIC PROCESS returned to the studio to craft a new six-track EP. Titled “Gulps”, this new release is even more visceral, dark, and oppressive, pushing the duo’s sound further into dense structures and twisted atmospheres while preserving the brutal, direct, and organic identity of the project.

“Gulps” is set for release in late November 2025, once again in partnership with Crypt of Dr.Gore Records.
