CRYPT MONARCH: Costa Rican stoner/doom trio’s debut LP out today via Electric Valley Records!

Crypt Monarch unleash their necromantik stoner doom debut, The Necronaut, out today (July 23rd) via Electric Valley Records digitally and on different variants of vinyl: Neon Green Splatter Black, Neon Pink, and Ultra LTD “Necro Edition”. The Costa Rican trio teamed up with Doomed & Stoned to present the advanced stream of the album (Stream the album + Read full-feature AT THIS LOCATION).

The band states the following to illustrate the album’s backstory:

“An imperious and vengeful dead King is brought back to life with a thirst for carnage and death. Bring out your dead!"

Invoked in mid-2020 by the members from Age of the Wolf and VoidOath, Crypt Monarch hails from San José, Costa Rica. The power trio’s self-labeled “necromantik stoner doom” style is replete with malevolent riffs in crushing intensity, groove-oozing atmosphere, and psychedelic pathways.

The debut album, The Necronaut, was recorded and produced by the band in a cabin in the woods during March/April 2021. A 36 minute, 3 song monolith of séance infused riffage and fuzz-fueled grooves, this record chronicles the voyage of a dishonored king brought back from the dead to destroy its warlock’s enemies.

The eerie lair has been disturbed, the doomed ruler is now awake and chained to slaughter.
