Italian death metal machine Crownshard comes back with an album dealing with the search for awareness, necessary to have a clearer and more balanced vision of our existence in the world and life in general. The word "awareness" never appears in any lyrics, because it is metaphorically hidden as awareness is hidden within ourselves. The lyrics deal with suicide, revenge, failure, depression, and perdition, recurring realities of human existence where awareness could be rediscovered.
Perhaps only by exploring the extreme will we come to awareness and truth? The artwork represents of a confused structure lost in the heart of a forest. The structure recalls the image of a cathedral, a place of worship that symbolizes the awareness that is hidden in our mind.
