Consumed By Vultures is thrilled to announce the new edition of their album "Pseudobiblion" and the release of their new single "Scissione," set for September 2024.

The Swiss brutal death metal band Consumed By Vultures is thrilled to announce the new edition of their album "Pseudobiblion" and the release of their new single "Scissione," set for September 2024.

Following the release of "Pseudobiblion," the band decided to re-record two tracks from their 2014 demo, "Sky Burial" and "Natural Selection." These songs, which have been part of their live repertoire since the beginning, have been revisited to celebrate the band's artistic journey. The upcoming releases will include seven singles, to be released every 3-4 months, starting with "Scissione" in September 2024.

In celebration of this year's scheduled releases, Consumed By Vultures has prepared a special setlist, featuring many tracks from the album that will be performed live for the first time. These concerts will offer fans a unique experience, allowing them to immerse themselves in the new sounds and deep themes explored in "Pseudobiblion."

The band is excited to share these new pieces live, offering unforgettable and engaging performances. The band consists of seven members: six musicians and Gabriele A. Bavera, who serves as producer, graphic artist, and technician. Each member has developed their own single, starting from their own ideas and following their own directives. The common theme of these singles is an intimate reflection on significant personal experiences that have contributed to each member's individual growth. These moments have been artistically translated through music and metaphors, creating an emotional and personal journey for the listener.

The first single, "Scissione," conceived by guitarist Timoteo Costantini, addresses inner conflict and the personal struggle against uncertainties and insecurities, expressing the sense of emptiness and alienation that results.

With "Pseudobiblion," Consumed By Vultures has continued their conceptual and musical journey that began with the album "In Eterno." "Pseudobiblion" is a complex and ambitious work that explores deep and structured themes. Inspired by the structure of Dante's Divine Comedy, this concept album tells the story of a higher entity who, during one of its infinite life cycles, decides to write a book, a "pseudobiblion," to convey its vision and experiences. "Pseudobiblion" is derived from the Greek ψευδής/ψευδές (false) and βιβλίον (book); the concept is tied to an imaginary book cited as real in a literary work. This album continues the concept that began with "In Eterno," where an entity decides to write a book during one of its infinite life cycles.

The album is divided into three sections, each containing three stories/themes that deal with addiction/egoism, environment/ecology, and religion/castes. The album consists of 10 tracks, structured as follows: Cantica I: Descent into the Abyss (Inferno) Cantica II: Purification (Purgatorio) Cantica III: Lesson (Paradiso)

Each theme can be listened to in natural order or according to a specific sequence that allows the listener to experience the entire theme from beginning to end.
