Australian blackened death machine COMPLEXANT has launched the official music video for "Afterlife." The song marks the second single off the band's upcoming full-length album, Apex.
Vocalist Dan Greigsy comments on the song's lyrical concept, “A married couple struggling to make ends meet yet completely devoted to one another, make a suicide pact to escape their growing debt problems. The lyrics are almost like the final conversation of them convincing themselves to end it all echoing out with the realization 'Nobody wants to live forever when you’re living the hard life and dying on the inside.'"
The band has joined forces with No Clean Singing for the exclusive world premiere of "Afterlife." Stream the video at this location.
Apex boasts 10 tracks of brilliantly violent riffing fueled by percussive intensity and unearthly vocals. Following a collection of critically-acclaimed singles and 2023's A Rite of Passage EP, COMPLEXANT is set to cement their status in the global metal community with Apex.
The album is due out on July 31 via Bleeding Art Collective in partnership with Blood Blast Distribution.
