On the eve of releasing their crushing debut album “Kintsugi”, a record set to thrill fans of old-school groove metal, Portuguese outfit Chaosaddiction has unveiled one final single.

The band has just released the official music video for “Drama King”, a banger track that showcases the impressive sonic range of the upcoming LP.

“Drama King” ventures into Meshuggah-inspired territory with its technical main riff, quickly shifting into a deep, rhythmic groove during the verses. Blending death metal intensity in the chorus with an ending that will resonate with Machine Head fans, the track is a raw exploration of heartbreak and anger.

“We wanted to open the album with a fast one… old school style” vocalist and guitarist Rui Alexandre says, adding “[but] this song kinda has it all, it’s so ‘in your face’… it’s a huge sonic statement in terms of what this band can do. And we’re just getting started.”

The track serves as a centerpiece for the band’s debut. Titled “Kintsugi”, after the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metals to increase its value, the album highlights the depth of the Portuguese underground metal scene.
