Blackened post-metal band KALT release new single and music video ‘ZERFRESSEN.’ The single delivers a brand of blackgaze that is far more intense than many of their contemporaries in the scene, offering a wide atmospheric approach that pairs a desperate, suffocating sound with intense lyrics.

KALT, based in Siegen, Germany, were founded in 2018 and released their debut EP ‘KALT’ just a year later. The EP received a lot of positive responses and attracted the attention of SCR (Supreme Chaos Records) to distribute the vinyl release. While working on their first full-length, ‘HYBRIS,’ the band honed and refined their style.

The music video for ‘ZERFRESSEN’ visually captures the dark emotions and tragic mood of the track. The provocative imagery matches the band’s penchant of playing melancholic but searing black metal mixed with the expansive, dynamic approach provided by the post/blackgaze elements.
