Blackened doom metal Project BLACKSTAFF release their crushing new album “The Storyteller.”  Since 2022, BLACKSTAFF has released two EPs and a split. The project’s full-length debut album 'THE STORYTELLER' is the culmination of its creative capabilities, reaching for an abrasive, doom/sludge filled zenith. 

BLACKSTAFF began as a creative release for musician Dustin Cleary, a musical outlet for his deeply troubled thoughts about the world.  With the help of mix engineer Todd Purnick, ‘THE STORYTELLER’ represents the growth the project has established since their ‘GODLESS’ EP.

‘THE STORYTELLER’ is a powerful display of blackened doom built upon corrosive groove and a suffering atmosphere of frenzied noise.  The album incorporates death metal elements as well, including guttural vocals, resulting in a new dynamic while retaining the project’s signature doomed sound and slamming riffs.
