BLACKENED DEATH METAL BAND TERRANOVEM RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM ‘VALLEY OF PARIAHS’
United Kingdom based blackened death metal band TERRANOVEM release their full-length debut album ‘VALLEY OF PARIAHS.’ Their bleak, dark sound fully embraces the against-the-grain ideals of black metal and represents their desire to create extreme metal that is devoid of basic frills and imagery. Their nihilistic ascent is matched by death metal influences incorporated into their blackened fury, opting for a much more brutal and robust sound than typical of the genre.
TERRANOVEM chose their name from the fusion of the Latin words Terra (Earth) and Novem (nine, signifying Planet 9). The band formed in 2022, out of the remnants of UK black metal band ETHEREAL. That band’s members, M-Inanz and Mordrath were joined by Selig, Darianth and Dhakrith, each member contributing to the band’s unique vision.
‘VALLEY OF PARIAHS’ cuts a wide swath through extremity, effortlessly switching between vicious, speed-induced violent black metal and pulverizing, uncompromising death metal. The album creates a new type of beast, one bereft of any trend other than dedication to the howling sounds of the underground.
