Black metal vanguards DECONSTRUCTING SEQUENCE release their second full-length album, Tenebris Cosmicis Tempora, out now via Black Lion Records on CD and all digital platforms. The album pushes their progressive and avant-garde approach further than ever, blending furious black metal, cosmic atmosphere, and twisted experimental elements.

DECONSTRUCTING SEQUENCE was formed in 2012 in Taunton, Somerset (UK) by Tiberius, originally exploring progressive and avant-garde paths through two EPs and their 2018 full-length debut Cosmic Progression. After Tiberius relocated to Szczecin, Poland, the project shifted into a new era with drummer Dark Soul joining in 2018, followed by the additions of bassist Immortal in 2023 and guitarist Uruk in 2024. This revitalized lineup shaped Tenebris Cosmicis Tempora, recorded at Monroe Sound Studio between 2022 and 2025 with producer Arkadiusz “Aro” Jabłoński.

Drawing influence from the ferocity of Mayhem, the grandeur of DHG and Emperor, and the haunting atmosphere of Akhlys, the album marks a darker and more unhinged evolution for the band. Lyrically, it presents a cosmic allegory of humanity’s downfall, following the last human’s transformation into a godlike force consumed by his own creation. With this release DECONSTRUCTING SEQUENCE continues to move forward, expanding their singular vision of progressive black metal.
