Inertial Music presents “Silent Orbit”, the first single and videoclip taken from Rivers Ablaze’s new album Inexternal Dread, set for release on March 27th, 2026.
With Inexternal Dread, Rivers Ablaze embrace a form of progressiveness rooted in structure, atmosphere and restraint.Songs unfold through non-canonical forms, layered influences and carefully measured tension, allowing the music to breathe and evolve over time.
A defining element of Rivers Ablaze is their internationally recognized line-up, which includes Tadeusz Rieckmann, drummer of Faroese Viking metal institution TÝR, whose powerful yet controlled approach adds a distinctive edge to the band’s sound.
Black metal and death metal remain the backbone of the band’s sound, but are constantly reshaped by crushing doom-laden passages and a vocal approach that occasionally slips into something unexpected — almost grunge in spirit — yet filtered through a dark, noir sensibility.
The single “Silent Orbit” is available now on all digital platforms and is accompanied by the official album artwork.
The album artwork is taken from a painting by Saly Németh László, a relative of the band, adding a deeply personal dimension to the release and reinforcing its fully human, handcrafted nature.
Album preorders are now open in a limited CD digipak edition, via Inertial Music.
