Chicago’s death metal juggernaut BEAR MACE has released their latest single, “The Iceman Cometh,” along with an intense new official music video, taken from their crushing new album Slaves of the Wolf. The track and video dive headfirst into the cold-blooded legacy of infamous contract killer Richard Kuklinski, also known as “The Iceman.”

“This one is about Richard Kuklinski, the infamous ‘Iceman’ who was purported to have killed over 200 people,” says vocalist Chris Scearce. “Every method of killing described in the lyrics are ways that he actually disposed of his victims.”

Visually dark and visceral, the video amplifies the song’s chilling subject matter with disturbing imagery and a relentless performance from BEAR MACE.

“A lot of SLAYER influence here, especially the guitar solo tradeoff,” adds guitarist MARK SUGAR. “The secret ingredient in writing ‘old school death metal’ is listening to the bands that inspired death metal originally.”

With unrelenting riffs, guttural ferocity, and a raw narrative edge, “The Iceman Cometh” is a standout track—and the video captures the band's signature blend of historical horror and musical extremity in full force.

This release is a formidable precursor to Slaves Of The Wolf, scheduled for full release on June 6, 2025, and available for pre-order HERE.
