Australian heavy metallers SECULAR will release their new single “Cruel is the Wheel” on 10 October!

SECULAR, a four piece metal band from Perth in Western Australia, will release the single “Cruel is the Wheel” on 10 October 2025. The track is self released in digital format and was recorded at Oracle Sound Studio with engineer Jay Huxtable.

SECULAR work where groove metal’s weight meets classic heavy metal bite. “Cruel is the Wheel” distils that approach into a direct, tightly played song, driven by down picked guitars, a locked rhythm section and a vocal take that keeps the message upfront. The recording is clean and unforced, with the band favouring impact over excess. This single also opens the next phase of their activity, with two further releases planned in the following months.
