Following the frostbitten melancholy of "Kaamos" (2024) and the deeply emotional "Pohjoisen Sydän" EP (2025), the band now descends deeper into the mythic heart of Finland itself. "Songs From The Veil" is an immersive journey through ancient belief, northern nature, and human fragility; an album where folklore and emotion become inseparable beneath the endless Nordic night.

Rooted in Finnish legends and old spiritual traditions, the album explores tales of the Soulbird ("Sielulintu"), ancient creation myths, the shadowed realms of the afterworld, and the legendary Fire Fox whose blazing tail ignites the northern skies. These mythic visions are interwoven with stark reflections on winter, darkness, grief, and loss, creating an atmosphere both haunting and deeply personal.

Musically, AS THE SUN FALLS expand and refine their signature blend of atmospheric and melodic death metal.
