The secret has been revealed: Arch Enemy officially introduced Lauren Hart as a new singer on February 19, 2026. The former Once Human frontwoman is the fourth lead singer in the 30-year history of the Swedish melodic death metal institution – after Johan Liiva, Angela Gossow and Alissa White-Gluz.
Parallel to the announcement, the band released the new single "To The Last Breath". Founding guitarist Michael Amott was enthusiastic about the collaboration: working with Hart was an extraordinary experience – her remarkable voice, coupled with dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence.
This was preceded by an elaborate teaser campaign: the band had deleted their social media channels and posted cryptic videos featuring a hooded figure with a burning torch, ex-singer Angela Gossow, who remains involved as a manager, had promptly denied rumors of a comeback at the microphone.
Hart, an American musician with roots in Australia, was previously known as the frontwoman of the melodic death metaller Once Human. Her aggressive voice and stage presence fit perfectly into the Arch Enemy universe.
To celebrate the new chapter, Arch Enemy have announced the "Back To The Root Of All Evil" club tour for summer 2026. The intimate European tour takes you through Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, London and other cities in July and August. Fans can look forward to a band in a spirit of optimism.
