Anime Metalcore Project Iyashicore Unveils New Album & Video!

GURASHI!, the debut album from iyashicore, showcases the project's emotional intensity with striking electronics and a hard hitting sonic quality. The release of GURASHI! today, on July 9th, 2025 specifically, marks the 10th anniversary of the Gakkou Gurashi! anime.
Project founder Patrick Lloyd comments on the album's release:
"I'm happy to finally unveil my debut album, 'GURASHI!', a concept album about the series Gakkou Gurashi.
Working with my band Disconnected Souls inspired me to branch off and tackle some solo music outside of our writing sessions. Coupled with my love for this series, what started as a humble EP quickly split off into a 13-track album. I had never written a song start-to-finish until the creation of this album. And now that I know how, expect a lot more from this project going forward"
In addition to the album's arrival, a lyric video for the track 'The Bystander' have been released.
"'The Bystander' is one of the standout tracks from the album, channeling Spiritbox and Hollow Front in equal measure." Patrick explains. "About the misanthropic scientist character Shiiko, lyrically it demonstrates how nihilism can be turned into hope with some outside assistance.
This track features BEQ3REL on vocals - she is a dear friend of mine, and an aspiring artist who has a lot of interesting music in the pipeline, so look forward to that. Also on vocals, my brother Tom from In Sϕnder, and my DS bandmate Fletch provided some additional guitars for the end - accidentally, as he was supposed to do them for a different track, but they fit so well I needed to keep them in.
