Anialator - "Death is Calling" (October 22nd via Xtreem Music)!

ANIALATOR was formed in 1986 by ex-Devastation bassist Alex Dominguez. At the time, Thrash Metal was just starting to gain popularity in Corpus Christi, Texas, largely thanks to bands like Devastation (TX) and Angkor Wat. Finding musicians who shared an interest in this aggressive style of music proved challenging, but as more Thrash Metal shows came through Corpus Christi, the underground scene grew. Eventually, Alex Dominguez met people who shared his passion, and ANIALATOR was born. The original lineup consisted of Mark Olivo (guitar), Alonzo Garcia (drums), Mark Arispe (vocals), and David Trevino (guitar).

After months of rehearsals, ANIALATOR entered Koda Music Studio at the end of 1986 to record their four-song self-titled demo, which they officially released worldwide in January 1987. Just four months later, the band signed a deal with Wild Rags Records, leading to the release of their self-titled EP Anialator (1988), followed by Anialator II (1989). A picture disc featuring both EPs was released in 1990. Around this time, the band recorded a three-song demo, but it remained unreleased. Shortly after, they changed their name to Sufferance.

In late 2015, ANIALATOR reformed thanks to renewed interest from a younger generation of fans who had discovered the band through platforms like eBay. The band released a CD compilation of their back catalog titled Mission of Death in May 2017, through Xtreem Music. Xtreem Music also released the band's first new music in nearly three decades with the 2018 five-song EP Rise to Supremacy, proving that ANIALATOR wasn't just a relic of the past but a thrash force to be reckoned with.

Unfortunately, in 2021, an ex-member claimed ownership of the ANIALATOR name, leading to a legal battle. It was ultimately ruled that the name rightfully belonged to Alex Dominguez. During this time, the band underwent some lineup changes while continuing to write material for their long-awaited full-length album. After years of anticipation, Death is Calling will be released in 2024 through Xtreem Music, available on CD, 12” LP, cassette, and digital formats.
