The band states, "We chose to start with 'Grace of Departure’ because it’s an intense and dynamic listen that showcases the more atmospheric and aggressive elements that we wanted to emphasize with this EP. The song is essentially our tribute to Nature Ganganbaigal from Tengger Cavalry, who tragically passed away in Summer 2019. His passing and the circumstances that surrounded it were very difficult for everyone involved – he had an incredible life so we wanted to musically honor his legacy with higher peaks and deeper valleys than we had explored before."
