Kenji plays the 8-string NS/Stick and the NS Omnibass. One of the few musicians to specialize in these distinctive instruments, he has developed an unmistakable style combining plucking, tapping, thumping, and rapid tuning changes using a capo.

You may also know Kenji from Narcotic Wasteland, his project with former Nile guitarist and vocalist Dallas Toler-Wade.

On joining Ephel Duath, Kenji comments:

“When one of your favorite bands asks you to join, you immediately say YES! I’ve said before that Pain Necessary to Know is one of my favorite albums of all time and a huge influence on me.

I have some huge shoes to fill, as my predecessors include the great Steve DiGiorgio, Bryan Beller, and Fabio Fecchio. But I hope to make a meaningful contribution to the madness and schizophrenia that is Ephel Duath.”
