Italian hardcore veterans 217 release their new single today, "You Can Get Rid Of The Past!", continuing their exploration of intense, emotionally charged soundscapes.

The track comes ahead of the band’s upcoming album "In Your Gaze", set to be released on November 7th, 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

Comment from the band:

"This is a typical mid-'90s new school hardcore track, in the vein of 108, Life of Agony, and Into Another, mixed with darker influences like Bauhaus, Joy Division, and Killing Joke. Through a path of solitude and silence, you can free yourself from the chains of your past. The time is now—no more burdens on your back."

Born and raised on solid hardcore foundations, over time the band has expanded its sonic spectrum, enriching it with new influences and a nostalgic aura that constantly contrasts with their raw, original essence.

"In Your Gaze" marks another step forward in this journey – an album that rejects easy categorization and reflects the courage and honesty with which 217 approach their music.

The new release promises to combine intensity and introspection, keeping hardcore energy as its beating heart while opening up to expressive solutions capable of surprising even their most devoted listeners. It’s a record that seeks to capture the complexity of emotions, shifting between anger and melancholy, showcasing the maturity of a band now ready to leave an even deeper mark on the scene.
