10th Annual Dead of Winter Fest Unites Heavy Metal and Philanthropy for Youth Music!

Chandler, AZ – February 22, 2025 – The 10th Annual Dead of Winter Fest (DOWF), hosted by Keep Children Rockin’, returns to The QuartHaus in Chandler, Arizona, combining metal music and charitable giving. This free festival raises funds to support youth music programs in the Phoenix area, continuing a legacy that has provided over $20,000 in music equipment and repairs to more than 20 schools since 2015.

A Powerful Lineup

This year’s festival features a diverse mix of metal genres, including performances by Frozen In The Catacombs, A Slow Dismantle, Abhorrent Rebirth, Shadows of Algol, Feed The Lion, Sanguine Imperator, Sons of Providence, Aphotica, Cutthroat Gorgeous, Lost Dutchman, Apex Nemesis, and headliners Invirulant (2024 #ForTheFather Award winners).

Honoring Legacy and Community

DOWF commemorates Griffin Kolinski (Knights of the Abyss) with the #ForTheFather Award, recognizing contributions to the heavy music scene. The event also welcomes back co-founder Paul Benson, who returns after overcoming a serious health battle. In a tribute to his impact, Club Red’s original sound system will be used, with Jeffrey Robens at the helm.
