Scission is a no-compromise song that imposes its rhythm without regard for anything else. The idea behind this track is to offer a point of view from a privileged spectator, who experiences the inner identity conflict that manifests.
The whole thing is accompanied by a dark and sharp video, portraying the sole protagonist, Timoteo Costantini (a member of Consumed by Vultures), as he lives through this conflict.
Regarding the setting of the video clip, it was decided to recreate a dark environment, reminiscent of the intimate oblivion that grips the protagonist's soul, haunted by a demon that embodies the evil part that wants to prevail, pushing him towards the extreme act.
Scission is born within an identity conflict that does not seek answers, but festers inside, annihilating the protagonist's soul and essence. This song raises existential questions to which no answers can be found. This division aims to bring to light the fragility of the human being, who chooses to succumb or to fight for their existence.
The listener will be overwhelmed by this disturbed entity, torn between a deep sense of disorientation and a precise feeling of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This is Scission, and no one will save you.
And you, who are you? Don't answer me, answer yourself."
