'FARSOT,’ is the latest release from Swedish blackened crust band REGNVM ANIMALE. ‘FARSOT’ is rooted in the DIY style of crust and fully combines the raw, underground atmosphere of black metal with the energy and urgency of punk influenced extreme metal. The B-side of the single is ‘Vanmakt’, which features a slightly less extreme focus, including clean vocals and a more straight forward approach.
REGNVM ANIMALE, based in Stockholm, formed in 2012 and released their full length debut ‘ET SIC IN INFINITUM’ in 2015. Farsot/Vanmakt marks the band's fifth release, continuing their themes of exploring the alienation of the modern human condition.
‘FARSOT’ preaches the dark truth of the imminent collapse of both society and nature. The song is both a searing and harrowing statement of humanity’s hubris and greed. Even while weaving this tale of chilling atmosphere and melodies, the punk inspired energy reveals something new fighting to be born from the throes of our dying world.
