Emerging from the industrial shadows of Gothenburg, Mindistry return with their first single of 2026, Hemsökt, a ferocious collision of mechanical riffs, occult symbolism, and psychological descent.
Blending the crushing intensity of Rammstein, the militant precision of Marilyn Manson, and the cybernetic aggression of Ministry, Mindistry carve their own scorched path through the industrial metal landscape.
Hemsökt, Swedish for “haunted”, is exactly that. A possession. A descent. A ritual set to distortion and steel.
Built on grinding riffs, infernal rhythms, and hauntingly melodic vocal hooks, the track fuses occultism, hellfire imagery, and themes of mental unraveling into something both brutally raw and disturbingly catchy. The Swedish lyrics paint visions of cold hands guiding the innocent into darkness, unholy psalms whispered in dead tongues, and an eternal dance in sulfur and flame. It’s theatrical. It’s oppressive. It’s addictive.
The single also marks a defining moment for the band, their first release as a full lineup featuring Gustaf (guitar & vocals), Dan the Man (bass), and Marko (drums). The chemistry is undeniable. The sound is tighter, heavier, and more menacing than ever.
As the lead single from their upcoming EP OKKULT, due later this year, Hemsökt sets the tone for what’s coming: industrial metal rooted in ritual, atmosphere, and raw human darkness.
This isn’t just a song.
It’s an invitation.
Join the ritual. Become part of the undying and the everdead. Enter Hemsökt.
