Poland-based modern metal band Star Igniter will release their debut single, “The Place We Used to Love”, on August 20, 2025. Blending accessible melodies with heavier, introspective moments, the band delivers a heartfelt track dedicated to friendship and support through life’s hardest times.

Star Igniter, from Poland, was born from the belief that there is a light within every person, waiting to be sparked. The project was created by vocalist and guitarist Alex “s0al” Skantsev in August 2023 and has since taken shape around him and Alex “Peresk0pe” Volchek on bass and programming.

The band does not limit itself to a single genre, instead embracing a range of sounds that move between lighter, more accessible moments and heavier, introspective passages. This creative freedom allows them to address themes such as injustice and empathy with sincerity and clarity, without resorting to extremes.

Their debut single, “The Place We Used to Love”, will be released on August 20, 2025. Dedicated to a friend, it is a song about being there during the hardest times, and a reminder that no matter the distance, there is always someone you can count on.
