After a decade without a new full-length, Brazilian power/folk metal veterans Lothlöryen are back with “…of Bards and Madmen [reimagined]”, out on September 12, 2025.

The album revisits their 2005 debut, but this is no simple re-recording. Lyrics have been refined, arrangements rebuilt, and the production shaped by years of experience on stage and in the studio. The result is a record that respects the band’s origins while presenting their music in a more mature and contemporary form.

The singles “Moriality” and “There and Back Again” offered the first glimpse of this new chapter. “Moriality” was launched together with a graphic novel that set the tone for the album’s narrative, while “There and Back Again” looked to the past to inspire the present. Both tracks have already received attention from the Brazilian press, confirming that the band’s return carries the same spirit that made them stand out in the first place.

The artwork also reflects this new phase: darker, more refined, and closely tied to the band’s mythic and poetic identity.

With five albums released and tours across more than eight countries, Lothlöryen have built a reputation as one of Brazil’s most distinctive heavy metal acts.
